Therapy can take place in the comfort of your home or in your child’s school setting. We also offer teletherapy and are happy to discuss whether it may be the right fit for your child.
-
Yes. An initial comprehensive evaluation allows us to get to know your child, understand their strengths, and identify areas of support before creating an individualized therapy plan.
-
We specialize in treating toddlers and preschoolers (ages 1–6), though we regularly support older children up to age 12 who may benefit from continued speech and language support.
-
You don’t have to figure this out alone. Schedule a complimentary consultation, and we’ll talk through your concerns together to decide whether a speech-language evaluation is the right next step.
-
Absolutely! Your involvement is key to your child’s progress. I provide regular updates, share strategies you can use at home, and am always available to answer questions. A unique benefit of school-based services is the ability to collaborate closely with teachers, reinforcing your child’s skills right in the classroom. It’s a true team effort, and you are a vital part of that team.
-
Session length and frequency are determined after the initial evaluation. Many children benefit from therapy 1–2 times per week for 30–45 minutes, though shorter or longer sessions may be recommended based on your child’s individual needs. Progress is monitored continuously, and recommendations are adjusted as needed.
-
Play-based therapy is child-led and built around your child’s natural interests. We embed speech and language strategies into play — using toys, favorite games, music, and movement — to make therapy fun, engaging, and meaningful. Research shows children learn best through play, and this approach helps skills carry over into everyday life.
